Our Story

Born and raised in Springfield, MO, Jesse Bodine is a Midwestern through-and-through. With her sights originally set on a career in nursing, Jesse attended the University of Missouri where she obtained her nursing degree. By 2009, however, much of her focus had shifted to her love of her personal family and design blog, Scout & Nimble. As she dipped into the interior design world, she soon began running a successful side business, designing for friends and friends-of-friends. It was the challenges of running this side business that motivated the idea of creating an online shop. However, this shop would be different: a place for other interior designers facing the same struggles to find their favorite brands in one place.

Over the next several years, she and her husband grew Scout & Nimble into the premier, online destination for quality, luxury furnishings and accessories that it has now become. Throughout Scout & Nimble’s great success, Jesse never lost sight of her original intentions to serve and support the community of interior designers, and placed a large importance on Scout & Nimble’s Trade Program.

Apart from Scout & Nimble, Jesse is the Principal Designer of Bodine White, her interior design firm, where she continues to do what she loves most. Today, she, her husband, Sam, and their two boys share a home in Columbia, MO.

Danielle grew up in Columbia, MO where she met her husband in high school. After graduating from college in 2018 with a Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, she spent 3 years working in Kansas City as an interior designer before realizing her passion for project management. She moved back to Columbia in 2021 after having her first daughter and has been working with Bodine White ever since. She will soon be pursuing her Master’s in Business Administration, with a concentration in management and organizational leadership.

Jordan graduated from the University of Missouri in 2018 with a Bachelor’s degree in Architectural Studies with an emphasis in Interior Design and a minor in Business. She also played for the Mizzou Women's Basketball team and went on to continue her basketball career overseas in Herne, Germany for two years post-graduation. She moved back to Columbia in 2020 to join the Bodine White team. She soon got married the following year and is now expecting a baby girl with her husband in August 2022. She has enjoyed two years of diving back into her passion with this team and is excited to use her experience for all our new projects coming up.

Brooklyn is one of our remote designers, working from Portland, Oregon. Previously, she graduated from the University of Missouri with a Bachelor's degree in Architectural Studies with an emphasis in Interior Design. She is currently pursuing a Master of Architecture degree so she can continue her dream of designing homes in a new way. Brooklyn enjoys using her interior design skills within her own home to elevate each space. She has been with the Bodine White team since early 2021 and has loved being a part of the process of new construction projects. Brooklyn married her husband in 2021, and he consistently pulls her into his lifestyle of outdoor adventure.

Keegan, originally from the Kansas City metro area, pursued his passion for interior design by earning his Bachelor's degree in Interior Design from the University of Central Missouri. After graduating, he decided to continue his career in the Kansas City area, gaining valuable experience as an interior designer for five years. Recently, Keegan made the exciting move to Columbia and joined the team at Bodine White. When he's not immersed in design projects, Keegan finds joy in traveling and spending time outdoors, particularly with his beloved dogs. His adventurous spirit and love for nature often inspires his creative approach to design, infusing spaces with a sense of exploration and harmony with the environment.

Anna grew up in St.Louis, Missouri and moved to Columbia for college where she graduated from the University of Missouri with a Bachelor’s degree in Architectural Studies with an emphasis in interior design. She joined the Bodine White team in early 2022 during her final semester of college. After graduating, she moved back to St. Louis but balances a hybrid work schedule that allows her to combine remote and in-office work days. Anna was recently able to work hands-on on a kitchen remodel in her parents’ home. Her favorite parts of designing are collaborating with her team and seeing the process of designs coming to life.
